RECEPTION
In Everpocalypse, a dystopian fantasy world, characters from Ethoria and District: Zen (originally from DeviantArt) inhabit the land.
These characters, named Everfolk, can be utilized within Everpocalypse, serving as a unique aspect of the website and a semi-closed species for the community. Users are restricted to employing only Everfolk officially registered on the website as their characters. Any Everfolk not present in the masterlist are limited to personal use and are considered unofficial, hence not allowed for website usage.
Everfolk can be acquired through various means such as Starter Everfolk, premade adoptable sales, creation using Trinkets, or winning them through contests.
OWNERSHIP
- Once you own an Everfolk, whether from Ethoria or District: Zen, you have complete rights to the Everfolk's artwork and development.
- Each user is limited to claiming a maximum of two premade designs per month.
- Ownership can be transferred through the character transfers tab, upon completion of a sale, or through redemption. However, commercial usage of your Everfolk is prohibited.
TRANSFERS
- Everfolk can be traded if the "Can Be Traded" option is listed on the character info page.
- Following a transfer, there is a two-week cooldown period for each trade.
- The recipient must respond to the notification to finalize the transfer.
RESELLING
- Everfolk can be resold if the "Can be Sold" option is listed on the character info page. This option is exclusive to Everfolk with sale value or commissioned artwork.
- Users can list their Everfolk on the Rehome Center for resale. Reselling can only be conducted using in-game currency at the moment. For transactions involving real money, users should contact the reseller directly for further details.
- When transferring an Everfolk with monetary value, its monetary status remains intact, allowing the Everfolk to be able to be resold.
- Users have the freedom to resell their Everfolk at any price they deem appropriate. However, scalping within the community is prohibited. Potential buyers are advised to verify the original sale value before making a purchase.
VOIDING
- Owners have the option to void their Everfolk if they no longer wish to use them on the website. Voiding allows for storage under personal use or conversion for other communities. However, voiding an Everfolk is irreversible and cannot be undone.
- Owners are not required to alter the Everfolk's appearances. Voided Everfolk still retain their classification as Everfolk but are not usable on the website. We do not have the rights to revoke designs or characters from people.
- Everfolk under any design category can be voided except for Official Designs. Currently, to void a character, users must contact Vanguards as the void options will be available in the future.
MAKE YOUR OWNS
- Users have the opportunity to create their own Everfolk by utilizing Trinkets.
- Make Your Own (MYO) slots are available for purchase with in-game currency or can be obtained through events. They can also be acquired through the Market, trades, or free MYO events. MYO slots do not have monetary value unless the Everfolk design is paid, or has commissioned artwork. Otherwise, they are only considered tradable.
- Starter Everfolk slots are accessible through the Create Free MYO feature on the website. This provides an opportunity for users who cannot afford a MYO Trinket. However, any Starter Everfolk created are account-bound, meaning they cannot be traded or sold. The only available species for creating your own Starter Everfolk are the semi-closed species - Faurians (Ethofolk) and Zendroids (Zenfolk).
- When designing a MYO, users agree not to base it on any copyrighted material. While inspiration is acceptable, it should be used fairly.
DESIGN ADOPTABLES
Premade Everfolk designs are exclusively released during monthly events, categorized into two types:
- Official Designs - Created by Diviously. These designs unlock all additional features for the characters.
- Resident Designs - Created by Resident Artists, these designs unlock some additional features for the characters.
- Guest Designs - Created by a rotating group of volunteers each month. This presents an opportunity for community members to contribute to the design campaign.
Backing out from money-based adoptables after submitting payment is considered a violation of the Terms of Service. Typically, a warning will be issued for this offense, but repeated attempts may lead to severe punishment.
FLATSALES
Flatsales offer fixed prices and operate on a first-come-first-serve basis, usually accepting real money and occasionally group currency. Holds are permitted at the designer's discretion.
AUCTIONS
Auctions start with an initial bid, allowing other users to place higher bids to secure the design. They mostly accept real money and sometimes group currency. Should the winning bidder fail to pay within the specified timeframe, the adoption may be offered to the previous bidder. Holds are not permitted.
OFFER TO ADOPTS
RAFFLES
Raffles feature exclusive adoptables that can be entered for free or at a specified price in real money or group currency. The winner is randomly selected.
DRAW TO ADOPTS
Draw-To-Adopts (DTA) offer exclusive adoptables that can be entered by drawing the character. The winner is randomly chosen.
CUSTOM DESIGNS
Custom Designs can be acquired directly from Official or Resident Designers when openings become available. Designers will provide a form for ordering a custom design. Custom designs are exclusively available for purchase using real money, character trades, or art.
Designers reserve the right to decline orders that do not meet the specified criteria or involve copyrighted elements in the design request.
PAYMENT
Payment is primarily conducted using real money or group currency, as specified by the sale.
Users must currently make payments within 48 hours after claiming unless the designer allows for holds. Payment plans can be discussed and negotiated with the designer.
VIOLATION
Violating the Terms of Service, whether knowingly or unknowingly, will result in a warning or strike, depending on the severity of the situation. Users accumulating multiple strikes may face a ban from the website.
Banned users are unable to participate in group activities or purchase designs. However, they may retain ownership of their designs and their Everfolk remain official for personal use. While banned, users are not permitted to engage in community activities, but they can still conduct transfers.
To file a ban appeal, users should contact a staff member. Please note that filing an appeal does not guarantee full approval.
